t. i'. . TS. "-s County Court. The thirty cases in the hop per of this court arc being grad ually ground out Up to Fri day evening 1 8 cases had been disposed of finally at this term. Owing to the prolonged illness of Judge McAdoo the docket has been growing for some months. In a great many of the cases the defendants and the witnesses are colored. One negro gets mad with anotherf goes off and makes a grave charge, but when the case comes on for trial eludes the officers or if caught testifies in' such a reckless and forgetful manner as to insure the dismiss al of the defendants; by this means the county is put to a use less expense, amounting in the course of a year to many hun dreds of dollars, and all for no purpose except to gratify the .whim of irate colored people who do not for a moment con sider the cost. Some means to stop this should be adopted and if possible every person who makes a complaint and fails to prosecute should be fined as much as the party complained against ...
