In mineral production for the year 1902 Amador county ranks eighth in the list of counties of California. Her yield is given by the state min eralogist, L. E. Aubrey, at $1,697, 113. It is many years since this county occupied so low a. place in the list. The fact is due, however, not so much to any serious falling off in her mineral output, as to the fact that other counties have vastly in creased their yield.
