Financiering without an Independent Treasury Law—The Beauties of Dennison's Old System. It argues little for Dennison's sagacity, that he should, after the extraordinary ex posures of frauds, robberies and losses to the Stnte, under the old system, to prevent which the TreaFury Law was pasted, still insist be fore the people on a return to the old law and practice. So far as wo can learn, however, the exhibition has proven more successful than in former jcars. The display of horses was very good,as also that of mulea. Tlio departments of Vegetables, Fruits, Domestic Man ufactures, Mchanical Implements and Farming utensils, wero by no moans well filled. Wo hope that this will not be the case hereafter. Tho extraordinary rashness of the movement is wonder ful.
