We recorded last week, says tho London Electrician, the successful transmission of instrumental music from Brussels to Antwerp. Intelli gence now reaches us of an Opera played in Brussels being heard by the King and Queen ot the Belgians at Ostend. Six microphones on the Van Rysselbergho system had been placed in front of the footlights, facing tho performers,. Two similar instruments were also fitted, ono on cither side of the conductor's desk, at tho height of the musical instrument in the orches tra; and for future occasions it is de termined to add a doublo microphone in tho prompter's box.
