TO MY MAIL ORDER HOUSE FRIFNDS: It gives us great pleasure to state to you that within the last two weeks we had seventeen customers in our house, bringing with them their lists ready to be mailed to the different mail order houses. To their great surprise and satisfaction we have proven to each and every one that we saved them money by trading with us, besides gaining a great many advantages, which they don't have when they send off for their goods, namely: We gladly exchange anything that is wrong. til t i THANKSGIVING DAY Tucjmca.ri Observed the Day With Praises, Song and R e j o i c i i g . Thanksgiving Day was observed fittingly in Tucumcari with praises, song and rejoicing. The day was one o( those beautiful Indian sum mer days, almost like the hazy days of Indian Summer that so many of us remember "Lack home," and we only lacked the irideneent splendor ol the leafy mantles of the hills. Thanksgiving Day means some thing this year to those sturdy sons uf toil who ate so rapidly building a great State to be, cut out here in the edge of the Rockies, and espec ially to Tucumcari and to Quay county. Our newly broken sod has yielded up a plentiful crop this year. Our new land is giving a promise which will be fulfilled in thousands of happy little homes out here in this Land of Sunshine. The Thanksgiving service was held at the Baptist Church, all of the churches of the city joining in. The Prayer of T hanks giving was offered bv Rev. Du Hose of the Presbyterian Church, and the...
