An Awful Death. An inquiry was held at the St, Vincents Hospital to-day by the City Coroner touching the death rif Elsie May M'Quakerj aged A-g years, a daughter of j Constable .M'Qwaker. of 535 Bourke-street, Surry Hills, i who died in St. Vincent's Hosr .pital yesterday from, effects of burns all over the body. Evi. dence was given that about 11 a.m. yesterday Mrs. M'Quaker went out to do sortie shopping, leaving the deceased with her brother, aged 2-|- years, shortly after , two neighbours heard the child screaming, and on going to ascertain the cause found de ceased in the yard with her clothing almost "completely burnt oft'. There was a fire under the copper in the yard They extinguished the flames, and conveycd her to v the hos-. pital, where . she was ad mi tied by Dr. M'lherney. The Coroner entered a finding „o£ accidental" douth.- 1
