GLASGOW WEEKLY TIMES, THURSDAY MORNING, JUNE 10, 1852. Cholera. Mr. Clin,. Hereford of Char iton county, died of Cholern, in Brunswick last Friday night. Ho landed there, sick, on Friday, from the Sonora, on hi, return home from Kentucky. Mr.Willium Smith, of Keytcsvillc, son-in-law of Mr. Hereford, who attended Mr. H. in his sickness, died at the residence of the latter on Monday morning, of the same disease. Mr. William Boyd, an old and much res pected citizen of this place, died of Cholera yesterday morning. He reached home from Kentucky last Friday, on tli- Mirth n Jnrrtl. laboring under Cholera symptoms, which he neglected until a short time before his death. Suicide. Mr. St. Claiii Pair, an old Ind '".ighly esteemed citizen of this county, committed suicide by hanging himself, yes- terday morning about 3 o'clock. Tlic Whig National Convention adjourn ed on Saturday, till Monday morning, with out making n nomination, after balloting forty-six times. The first ballot stood for Fillmore 133 Scott, 133 Webster, 29 This ballot was taken on Thursday, tho Convention doing nothing on Wednesday but organizing. In the nftcrnoon of Saturday, the forty-six ballot showed for Fillmore. 127 Scott, 134 Webster, 31 When the Convention adjourned till Monday morning. The rumor is, that Gen. Scott was nominated Monday morning, and wc think it entitled to credit. Jones, of Ten nessee, one account says, is the nominee for Vice President while another makes Mr. Crittenden the nominee.
