After baring been upward of four years engaged in the most radical attempts erer made to destroy a government, this chief of de structives comes home and announces himself to the world as a "Conserva tive." FKXDAY y. f>KMXW, FtB. 16. Compositors Wanted. TWO GOOD BOOK COMPOSITORS wanted at this office. Apply Immediately. A man named Oliver is in the lockup awaiting trial this morning, on a charge of drawing a revolver on a man at the Union Hotel yesterday, with threats of shooting. In the House of Delegates yesterday, quite a humorous personal debate took placo on a resolution introduced to pro hibit smoking in the house. One old gentleman endeavored to administer a not very well received rebuke to a young member who has not yet "worn the velvet off.*' Have a little patience, gentlemen, as none of you will be both ered much longer. There was skating on the park last evening, and will bo again to-day and to-night. As usual a goodly number of persons was in attendance last night, and all enjoyed themselves.
