...L OCAL TOPICS Thomas Sullivan, the well" known farmer out west of town, had the sad misfortune Thursday afternoon to have his left arm shattered and ground to pulp by getting it caught in the rapidly revolving cylinder cog /wheels-of a threshing machine mang ling it so badly that Dr, F. R. Bur roughs found amputate 11 necessary and the limb was removed just below Che elbow. The injured man is being cared for ina pleasant room at the McQrath lodging house. The acci dent occurred on the King farm. L. P. Bauiuann, the genial and suc cessful business manager of the Cen tennial Flouring Mills, informs us that they run night and day and still cannot manufacture their bread stuff' fast enough to supply the'pressing demands.
