Blaikie) said ycjcerday tbat the Acting Minister for Labour and Inductry in this State (Mr. W. Moore), who is the Minister in charge of migraton for Queensland, had informed him that ihe position a? it relates to migration had changed completely. Whereas Queensland had been promised 900 berths for the movement of new settlers from the United Kingdom for the year ended December 31,1947, and 3000 berths for the year ended De cember, 1948, it was interesting tonote that 598 and 2045 had ar rived in these years, respectively.
