On the Wing. [Newspaper Article] — Table Talk — 4 December 1885

On the Wing. By Akiel. The groat musical ovont in Sydney last week was tho performance of " The Rose Maiden," a cantata, by Mr. F. IT. Oowen, in tho Protestant Hall, on Wednesday night, by tho pupils of Miss Rachol Gray, assisted by Mr. 1 rank Brewer (tenor) and Mr. ITallewoll (basso). " The Rose Mai don," which has never before been ren dered in its entirety this side of the world, abounds in charming melodies and cho ruses, and its interpretation by tho young lady amateurs forming MIbs Gray's classes left but little to be desired.
