ITIae miolklay. Monday generally was .kept as a close holiday in M033 Vale, but in consequence of there being quite a famine in the way of amusomenta in the town, the majority of people who sought enjoyment had to travel either to Bowral and Wild's Meadow, or form picnic parties to the Falls and other interest ing beauty 3pots around the district. The weather was supremely fine— it being the first day of real spring. The morning broke fair and throughout the day the blue of tlio sky was unbroken nnd the sun shone with blight aud cheering warmth. The evening was beautifully moonlight but lator on a few clouds and signs of rain came but passed away again before morning. S-HOUR DEMONSTRATION AT BOWRAL. The sports at Bowral in aid of the Broken Hill miners attracted a largo number of pleasure seekers, between 1400 aud 1300 being present.
