Tho county Kepubliccn convention held in this city to-day was the most enthusiastic and generally attended convention ever held in the county. A bianco at the delegates representing tho different precincts showed that the best men had been selected which certainly vouchsafed unusual interest on the part ot the Kepublicans. At 10:40 o'clock the convention was called to order in the district court room by "Win. 0. Davis, the chairman of the County Central Committee. On motion ot Dr. J. C. llandy Dr. Goodwin, ot locales, was made tem porary chairman.
