...LOCAL TOPICS John Harrin of Cheney., who came Mot day morning- to work on a eshing machine near town, re ceived a telegram yesterday informing him of the sudden death of his wife. When Mr. Harrin left Cheney cn Sunday evening his wife was appar ently in the best of health. Mrs. Harrin was a sister of Charles Odel, who works in the mill here. D. of Colville has been in the county the past week in the inter est of trie Jefferson Marble Company of Colville. Mr. Zent is the foster father of the mine and the moving spirit in its development. Extensive machinery is being place 1 at the mine. An unknown horse, branded with a C 011 left shoulder, was killed at C street crossing by being struck by passenger train No. 4 at 2 o'clock Sunday morning. No owner of the horse appeared, and the remains were ordered removed by the city marshal.
