NATIONAL THEATRE M STREET [Newspaper Article] — Placer Times — 30 March 1850

NATIONAL THEATRE M STREET Mi,. Editor— Dear Sir— Allow me to congratulate? the good people of Sacramento- city upon the present and prospective sources of amusement which are springing up like magic in our midst. Last night I was delighted with a performance in the Second street Theatre, am* to-day I have been shown another theatre or» M street, which in capacity and beauty oi adaptation is scarcely eclipsed by anything m ißc Skates. Thin theatre is being erected by onr es*eerme-i townsman, ifemn. Qu'eert and Petit. The construction of the interior of the buildrng bears the strongest evidence of Mr, Petit* capacity a? an architect and practical mechanic. I understand it will be completed in about six weeks, when, if our citizens get wearied with anything I think ft will be from the too liberal manner in which enterprise is developing the fountains of fun and pleasure. Respectfully your". J. F. Sacrairrentcr City. March 25th. 1850.
