THE FEDERAL BILL. From our latest wires to-day tlierc is no doubt that, for the present, the fate of tho Constitution Bill lias been scaled, for, according to the latest., wires re ceived up to 2 p.m. to-day the Bill has been practically reiccted bv tho Patri otic (?) sons of New South Wales. Whilo those who favored the' passing of it may be inclined to blame everybody else, we think that somo of the fault lies with the supporters of it for not showing more interest in securing the victory. As wo said in our last issue it would not do to hold the opponents too cheaply, and it would require, every and all in favor, of it ..to -do something else for it than just simply 'going to the poll ing booth and striking, out the' .'No.'- In our , own electorn to, for instance, with an electoral roll of nearly 3,000 voters on it, how many of these recorded their votes ? The returns to hand show that some fifty .per cent, of those on the roll thought it not worth thoir while even to come forward ...
