DISTRICT' COUNCILS. Ninneb, Monday, October 15, 1888. Present - The Chairman (Mr G. F. Mills, J.P.J Crs. McDonald, Patterson, Cook, Young, and Axford, and tbe Clerk (Mr Cowan). Minutes of previous meeting read and confirmed. Coseespondence. The Clerk explained that he had re ceived a letter which ought to have been read at last meeting from the Conservator of Water, intimating that the Council's request could qot be complied with as it was tbe intention of that department to hand over all damB and tanks to the Beetaloo water works. From Crown Lands and Immigration Office re road from section 176, Hd. Kul para, through Ninues and Bute, to the northern boundary sf the Hd. of Wiltun ga, being placed on the schedule of main roads. The request could not be complied with without legislation, and tbe Govern ment were unable to do anything in that direction this year, but informing the Council that tbe Inspector would shortly be around, when he would report as to tbe most advantageous roads...
