Even the gaols are being affected by the movement, the prison ?'- of Dunkalk being the first to feel ils '? influence. There a temperance meeting hns just been held for a second time, \\* -when a Dublin speaker gave a stirring ; -address which appears to have made a deep impression. Not the least inter esting feature of the gathering (says the Irish correspondent of the British 'Weekly') was the presence of the Presbyterian, Episcopalian, and Roman Catholic chaplains, along with several of the loccil magistrates who take an interest in the cause. Both they and the chaplains took part, and were the means of imparting much enthusiasm. Altogether it was felt that much good had been done among the prisoners.
