Harry Hocks With His Freak Special Wins Race Harry Dana Took First in Other Races. George Peterson Drove Well but Lost by a Margin. The public on Sunday witnessed something new to this section of the country in the form of real auto races which proved to be good ones and all who assembled were thoroughly pleased with the races. Each and ev- ery one of them proved to be inter- esting and exciting and many of .the car showed exceptional speed.. Had :ihe track been in better condition un- doubtedly many records would have been shattered. On account of the, rain the track was in a soggy condition so that the •drivers had to'exercise utmost Care in making the turns. At some of the turns the cars threw dirt for many feet adding to the zeal of the contest.'...
