The persistent and insidious effort of the money power to control the legislation o this country should make the people earn est and active in opposing it. This can be done beat by disseminating information ad thus letting tbe people judge for tbem elves concerning the merits o! pending issues. Those who take tbe Ssatinel may rely upon being kept posted upon political matters, and we ask tbose wbo approve tbe policy of the paper, whether Democrats or not, to give some efforts to increasing the dr cuUtion. We want twenty thousand subscribers to the Weekly Sentinel before tho opening of tho next presidential canvass, and between now and tho first of Jarfuary this should be secured. We ask our friends and the friends of the cicss of the people. to get up clubs in every townabip ia tbe state.
