PUBLIC LEDGER. Olllco. No. 13 JVtadUon Wtreat liARGUST CITY CIRCULATION BY TELEGRAPH. MIDNIGHT DISPATCHES LATEST FROM ALL QUARTERS Baltimore, October 7. The Plenary Council of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States, assembled this morning at the cathedral in this city. All the members of the council were present. Seven Archbishops, thirty eight Bishops, one hundred and twenty two priests of orders and doctors of divin ity, seventy-four ecclesiastics, four monks and three mitred abbots were present The procession was formed at the Arch bishop's residence and moved round to the cathedral. The immense gathering was estimated at forty thousand, on the streets and house-tops and every availa ble point, to view the procession. The cathedral was packed to its utmost. One hundred vocal and instrumental perform ers participated in the music in the church, which was very grand.. Mozart's twelfth mass was sung.
