S. inspectors have finished the inquiry into the ferry-boat disaster at San Francisco and find no one to blame. The steamer Olympia, recently purchased by the Hudson Bay com pany, is to have her name changed to Princess Louise. The bark Don Nicholas from De parture bay for San Francisco has been towed into Port Angeles disabled having encountered terrific gales which carried away sails and masts. An appeal is taken in the case of the Tullis murderers, Dye and Ander son, and they will not be hung on the irih inst The appeal insures the cases being put fi so that if the exe cution of the judgment is affirmed it cannot take place before late in Julv or early in August. There is considerable excitement in Virginia, Nevada, over a report that the district attorney of Onnsby countv will cause the arrest of three of the Story county legislative delega tion for accepting bribes. About two years ago Peter Rush, of Novato, California, wai murdered. Who the murderer was has ever sinpe been a mystery. The grand jury has found an indictment against Rush's, wife and a hired man, and they, are both in custody. On the night of July 2, 1877, during a hoodlum riot in,. San Fran cisco, a Chinese wash-rhoiise situated on Devisadero. street, in the "western addition, was attacked by a gang of wretches. The citizens make a clean sweep of all other officers. The firm of Koehler & Hitter, manufacturing jewlcrs, San Francisco, lias been attached. A receiver has been placed in charge. The attaching parties believe that the failure is brought about by natural causes. The failure will affect no small firms. A disastrous fire broke out at Ash land on the 11th, at 4 o'clock in the morning, originating in a blacksmith shop. Tacoma is divided into two towns, old and new. New Tacoma. about one mile anft a half further up the sound than Tacoma, 'is the present terminus of the Pa cific division of the Northern Pacific railroad. "Pacific Coast Dispatches. - The latest news from Cache slouch section of California, is that the entire district is under water. The water is causing great des truction of crops. Muirhead & Mann's sash and door factory, the most extensive in the province, was totally destroyed by fire in Victoria, on the 12th. The loss is 40,000, no insurance. The body of Johnny the Greek, whom Nicholas Michaels confesses was drowned in the course of a fio-ht with him in a boat on the bay at San Francisco two weeks ago Sunday, was found on the 12th, olF Blossom rock.
