Thcro Bccms to have been quito a general Uoa that tho centennial would not close Nor. 10th, but would continuo somo necks longer. Last week, however, tho commission decided that tho exhibition (hould bo finally closed on that dato and tho exhibits removed. So nobody ean calculato on going after that. Many residents of Philadelphia wanted tho main building to bo preserved but it will bo torn down with other buildings, leaving only memorial hall standiog. Tho Manchester & Kccno railroad seems to bo laboring under great difficulties. On ono or two occasions the contractors havo failed to pay tho laborers and a disturbance of somo kind or other has been tho result. Last Saturday work was entirely suspended on this account.
