OF According to previous notice the Whigs of Howard met in the Court House on Monday the 2d inst., wlien on motion of Gerard Robiiso. Abiel Leonard was called to the Chair, and Clark II. Grekn appointed Secretary. The object of the meeting having been "briefly explained by the Chairman, Col. Jos. Davis offered the following resolutions, and addressed the meeting at some length, urging their adoption, and upon political topics in general. After Col. Davis had concluded, the Chair pro ceeded to take the sense of the meeting on the resolutions, and they were adopted without a dissenting voice. 1.
