Money Talks. [Newspaper Article] — Tocumwal Guardian and Riverina Stock Journal — 16 May 1919

Money Talks. There is strong evidence tbat iu the State as a whole the grazing capacity of our soils has fallen off as compared with 50 years ago. It would be remarkable if this were not so. As a^fact we have made a poor use of the goodly heritage which came to us. The country was magnliiciently grassed, and, un like other countries, the soil was maintained without artificial aid. But inevitably there comes a time (here as everywhere else in the world) when injudicious stocking will deplete soil resources: You cannot forever rob tlj° most fertile soil. Fortunately landholders here and there are resorting to the only logical! means\>f'[recuperation, that is they are top dressing the grass lands. The response has been so -magnificienti;th:it;iiu a',£ew years it will probably be found that every man will be applying super. One of the finest ^illustrations of the value of the practice 1b supplied by Mr. John Bell, junr, of Lake View, Wangoom. For upwards of ten years he has legularly...
