MAKE YOUR DISTRICT KNOWN. [Newspaper Article] — Hopetoun Courier and Mallee Pioneer — 17 July 1914

MAKE iOUR DISTRICT KNOWN. Concerning some parts of (he dis trict news comes but seldom. This is not entirely our fault; wo have no miraculous power of knowing what is happening at all the places within our area of circulation. It is the fault of residents in the silent places. "Will some man or woman take the matter in hand and cause the silence to cease. If 110 one is doing it for your district, will you try on these lines? Send accounts of public and social jevents in your township and neigh borhood, such as weddings-, deaths, accidents, concorts, matters touching district industries, etc. Write the names of persons very distinctly. Don't bother about grammar or spelling; it's the editor's work to look alter those trifles. The barest skeleton is enough. .-"Write only on one side of the papev. . Giveinformatiori ; but let criticism alone. . \Vrite your name and address on same corner—not for publication, 'but to prove good faith.
