NARR0GIN. (FROM OMR CORRESPONDENT.) February 8. A son of Mr Johp Ingram met with A serious aud painful accident while returning from school last week. The horse lie was riding took fright., and, becoming unmanagable, threw its rider, who was only learning to ride, and dragged him a considerable dis tance before he got clear of the saddle. Tfafe youngster received a severe shaking and knocking about, beBideB a broker arm, but bore lymself manfully until tbe arrival of Dr. Itoughan from the Williams, under whose skill and attention he is now progressing favourably. The Narrogin Athletic Club held its annual meeting on Saturday last, at which tbe report and balance-sheet was received. The report showed a credit balance of £7 15s. The secre tary, Mr P, .f. Turvey, was unani mously re-elected, and with very few alterations the old committee and officers were re-elected. The pro gramme for the forthcoming sports on Easter Mpnday will be issued shortly.

CHURCH CONSECRATION. [Newspaper Article] — Great Southern Herald — 15 February 1902

CHURCH CONSECRATION. The new church building at Wagin was consecrated by the Lord Bishop of Perth on Tuesday last. Some 250 people were present, many coming in from long distances outside the town ship. The petition for the consecra tion of the building, signed by many of the inhabitants, was read by Mr R. Gell. The Bishop then proceeded to consecrate and set apart the building to the worship of God, according to the rites and ceremonies of the Church of England, and dedicating it in honour of fit. George. Evensong fol lowed, and a most helpful sermon was preached by the Bishop on St. Luke, ix., 34, *' My House shall be called the House of Prayer." The collec tion was given towards clearing off the debt on the building fund. Tea was provided, m the hall by the kind assistance of the Wagin ladies and was well patronised.
