LOCAL GENERA£ KEWS. In out' Dalby correspondent's letter of last; issue, he stated in error that Mr. Ralston, Manfl^ ger of the Queensland National Bank there,had left to take charge at Roma. MARYBOROUGH. I Tuesday, October 12. • Mr. King was banquetted in the Town Hall last night. He Mayor occupied the chair ; 200 persons -were present. Mr. T^imr in replying to the toast of. the Ministry, was | receive! with the utmost enthusiasm. In the course of his remarks, he stated that the j Preniier iiad gone to England to regulate matters in connection with immigration; that it was the intention of Government to intro duce next year a bill to authorise the financial sepa^tiojaSof the colony." He condemned Mr. Palmfer's Cbhdu'Ct in packing the Council, and spoke in strong terms of Mr. Palmer's state ment in reference to the Imperial despatches on the^ubject. >•.
