It was something terrific and spared nothiug, Largo trees were uprooted, telegraph poles and wires were blown down, and j houses unroofed. Damage — Mr. R. Curry, of ! Marulan, who owns a cucalytua tactory at Paddy's I River, had everything swept away. Threo four hundred gallou tanks was swept away bodily by the flood and carried down Paddy's River. Two tiuks were found. Eighty tons of wood which was stacked close to the tanks was also swept away. Strange to say Mr. Curry had an oil filteringmachine (which is a very expensive article) fixed in his distilling room, which \-a3 taken about two mile3 down tho river and found this morning in a perfectly sound condition. Spring S4a!IIIoa Parage. On Wednesday afternoon last, bef.ween one and two hundred people assembled on the Berrima Agricultural Society's show ground, to witness a horso parade, pony racing, £e. There Were not many horses on exhibition, probably owing to the short notice given, and owners having made other arrangements. Taken altogether the affair went off most successfully, and is the first meeting of the kind held by tlie society. Mr. Yeo (the hon. sec.) is the gentleman who proposed that a parade be held, and it is to his energy much of its success is attributable. The lion, treasurer, Mr. H. C.
