While a company tf'lnhorers upon tbe New York and Erie I ail Boad, were, on Wednesday of last wet k, near Lanesboro, endeavoring to s^ndern line a large stump, one of the number, a respectable German from Syracuse, whos^' hnme we could no t learn, was crushed by the caving upon him of a large mound of eirth, followed by the stump.
