The condition of the Capitol building demands immediate attention. A proper " representation from the Lcgulature to Congress would, I believe, secure such necessary appropriation as-may be suf ficient to completer the building and make it convenient for use, and safe. Fifty thousand dollars appropriated by Congress and sixty thousand dollars fur nished by the City of Omaha alone, have leen expended and the house is still un finished. It is estimated that about thir ty thousand dollars will be required to finish the whole work, and thus save the sums already expended from being little better than a dead loss.
