THE GODOLPHIN IN HlAINE58.--BalOCk, 1 of the Enfaula-.pirit of the South, says the Montgomery Mail, perhaps the most bril liant and trcible political writer in the Oi South, draws the following picture, in his recent editorial on Mr. Pryor,A attack on Mr, Yancey. It is very fine indeed. Says Bullock, speaking of Pryor's past and pre. seat: When, last year. upon the full circuits of our conrts, Southern Rights men who had been " fired" by his daring spirit, " in- - structed" by his lucid expositions, " encou- A raged" by the light and hope which in eve. ry issue of his incomparable paper he sent lashing through the land, went round a mong the good people of Pike, Coffee, Dale, .s Harbour and Henry, and besought them by i subscribing to The (Richmond, Va.) t c fliuiana nontoat. CHRYSTAL PALACE BURNINU. The New York papers of the 6th Inst. bring as the particulars of this destructive conlflIgrn tlon, which was briefly announced by telegraph: The Crystal Palace, the scene of so many of. the great public demnonstrntions which have ta ken place In this city of late years, was total ly destroyed last evening by tire, tltd the site is now a mass of smoking ruins. Not only the Palace itself, but everything that it contained, was burned up, and the exhibitors at the Great Fair of the American Institute, which was he oing held there for two weeks past, have lost all they had in the building. There is every reason to believe that the fire was the work of an iucendiary, as it originated I in a part of the buildling in which no fire was, used, but which was tilled with inflamable inn. terial, the debris of the Palace, which was put; in an out-of-the-way place, for fear of aceidents.
