Kal loch, as the result of an examination de novo on a charge of killing Charles De Young, was held to answer this evening without bail. PTai Levy— Preparing lo Ratify. San Fbascisco, June 21st.— The Board of Supervisors this evening passed to print the i tax levy, fixing the rate at *2 43, including in the estimate $321,000 for a water tax. This is six cents in excess of last year's levy on a largely increased valuation, and more than double on personal property. It is ex pected that the Mayor will veto the order, as it makes no provision for continuing the con struction of the new City HalL The gas bill, fixing the rate at $2 25, was killed. Representatives of the Democratic party met in conference this evening, and arranged for a ratification meeting on receiving the news of the nomination at Ciucinn...
