THlE COUNTY 1EW IS MADE No liedon tion From Last Yv-ar's Levy, Except for the Road Fund. Commissiouers Again Injure the Tax payers of the City of Great Falls. The county commissloners held an ad. journed meeting Monday, Commission era Dickey and Hay being present. John Lamb of Armingtou waa ap pointed game-warden, to serve for two months at a salary of $50 per month. The commissioners made the county tax levy and incidentally laid plans to mulct the taxpayera of school district, No. 1 in the sum of at least $12,0110 more than is necessary. The following levy was made: For the state fund, 2%t mills; for the general fund, 10 mills; for the road fund, 2 mills; for the stock inspector and detective fund, 134 mills; for the stock indemnity fund, 3s of I mill. The last two taxues are levied only on the assessed valuation of live stock, belonging to persons who have more than 10 head. PiTTmcRo, Aug. 11.-W. J. Bryan and party left this city at 7:30 this morning over the main line of the Penneylvania railroad and continued their journey eastward. The party was escorted from the hotel to the depot by the reception committee and on the route to the station they were frequently cheered. The first stop was at Greensburg, where there was a crowd of 2,000 per sons. Bryan appeared on the rear plat form and was heartily cheered. The train only remained here for two min utes and during that time all who could shook hands with the candidate. At Johnstown depot there was an other large and enthusiastic gathering. Bland attempted to introduce Bryan, but the shouts of welcome drowned his voice. Handshaking was indulged in for five minutes and the train was pulled out amid a roar of cheers. At A...
