I UNIVERSITY MISSOUJRIAN THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 30 1909 There is Only One Co Operative Store It is Located in Academic Hall REBATES You Get Them NOW at the COOP and in CASH Not in Losable Checks A number of old students have asked us why we discontinued the rebate checks Our invariable reply is We think our present financial condition will per mit an immediate and greater return in spot cash in stead of asking purchasers to carry around with them a lot of woolly checks for a year in order to realize It is a well known fact that the Co- Op did not have any capital when it began By giving rebates it could postpone the payment of discounts thus having the use of the money for a time Every student under stood this necessity when the plan was adopted If the necessity should arise in future we shall again give rebate checks There are just four ways to justify such checks 1 Most important and most usual to take care of a bad financial condition 2 They are the cheapest way to make a return to a...
