Sneed, of Fayette, is be ing called en by hundreds of influential voters all over the western district to be come a candidate for Supreme Court Judge. Our correspondent, "Index," tits the nail on the head and reflects the sentiments of Hardeman. We know that Mr. Sneed can count on a large majority and we hope to see him in the field as an aspirant. Col. J. 15. Heiskell, of Memphis, fills the bill too to a nicety in the opinion of Hardemimans, and as the western district is entitled to fill two of the seats on the Supreme Bench, we know of no better plan than to unite the city and country, and thus seeure the ervicss of the two distinguished scd emi nently qualified gentlemen referred to.
