Hymenial. [Newspaper Article] — Livermore Herald — 15 July 1880

Hymenial. The marriage of Carl Holm and Miss Ida Jessen, last Sunday, noticed in another column, was celebrated in fine style during the afternoon and evening. At the close of the wedding ceremonies, which were conducted by Rev. L, Wallace, at the residence of the bride's father, J. Jessen, familiarly known as "Jimmy Johnson,'' the invited guests, nearly two hundred in number, adjourned to the dancing floor on the Chapo Ranch Picnic Grounds, near by, where the afternoon was spent in a very pleasant and enjoyable manner. A dinner, and other refreshments, were served to the guests during the afternoon, and supper, late in the evening. The festivities were continued during the entire night, the merry company disbanding only with the rising of the sun. The best wishes of the community follow this young couple, in their venture on the matrimonial sea, May their hymenial bark ever be wafted by fair winds, and across unruffled seas, to anchor at last in the harbor of Eternal Peace.
