Cut tho bacon into thin slicos ; mako a nick in tho rind to provant it curling up ; put it into a clean frying-pan, and fry till it is a light brown colour ; then put it in a hot tlisii in front of tbo tiro, flaco tho livor in tho lryiug-pan, ami iry n in mo uhuoii mi, uu it is brown and woll cooked. FATAL ACCIDENT. DEATH OF MR. R. DALLAS, SEN,   OF ROCK Y CAPE. , (BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH). (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDANT)       Stanley, December 12. Mr. Robert Dallas, J.P., of Rocky Cape, was killed this morning by the capsizing of his dray , with a small load of wool and sun- dries, which he was bringing to Stanley. The mail driver, H. Adams, was the first to discover the accident, about 10 o'clock. He found the dray standing on its side, with the deceased under the wheel, quite dead, about half a mile on the Stanley side of De- tention River bridge. Being unable to ex- tricate the body himself, he drove on to Rocky Cape and returned with assistance, when the body was taken back to deceased's residence.       Mr. A.
