Hobart Town Gazette FRIDAY, January 30, Sitting Magisrate--Thomas Bell, Esq.       Ship News.--Arrived on Wednes- day last from Port Jackson, on a cruise, Hiss Majesty's ship Tees, Captain Coe, R. N. The Tees left Sydney last Tues- day week. The brig Ann, Captain Moon, arrived on Tuesday last from Port Dalrymple, from whence she brings a cargo com-   prising 3,000 bushels of wheat, with a quantity of wool and seal skins. The Ann will sail again, for the same Settle- ment in the course of a few days. The Tea plant of Hyson species, is sajd tobe growing in considerable quan- tities, at a settlement of the Friends on Blue River, in Jackson county, Indiana. -Some seeds, found by one of the society a few years since, in a lot of tea purchased at Louisville-were planted and succeeded so well, that some of the families in the neighbourhood raise a sufficiency for their own consumption. Useful Law concerning Dogs, in New York.-The corporation of this city pas- sed a law on the 1st ihst. which prohibits hereafter any dog from going at large in the city of New York, under the penalty to the owner of ten dollars for each of- fence. Owners of dogs are compelled to have them registered, and to pay an- nually the sum of three dollars for one dog, and for every dog they may keep over one, the sum of five dollars.
