A LOST NIGHTSHIRT. Some years -ago (says a reader) I was employed as "general" in Scot land. We were having exceedingly cold weather, bo cola indeed, that every night I carried my bed from my bedroom to the kitchen floor, it being much warmer there.;. 1 had just retired," about midnight, one night, f&eling rather tired after a long day's work, when clang, clang, clang! went any master's and mis tress's ■bedroom bell. Ofoittsary. 9 It is with extreme regret that we bare to announce the death of Lottie Fraser, tlio 11 year old daughter of Mr P. Fraser of this town. The deceased was taken to the Birchip prirate hospital on Monday, suffering from diphtheria, hut she gradually became worse and suc cumbed to the disease on Friday after noon. Deceased was a bright intelligent little Riil and it was not for a moment thought that her young life woul-1 bo »o suddenly onded, Great sympathy is felt for the bereaved family.
