Editorial Opinion Collegian Faces ' Mult i'-Problem The Behrend Collegian is currently facing a variety of problems. Most important of these is its continued existence. There is also the problem of whether or not the Collegian can remain financially solvent. There are several reasons why the Collegian is facing these dire straits. The principle reason is the lack of interest among the students of Behrend Campus, which also includes the staff of the Collegian. It would appear that many people at Behrend take the Collegian for granted. There has always been a newspaper every week, and there always will be. Many people are badly disillusioned. It is true that many students support the Collegian by reading it regularly and providing valuable information that is necessary for articles. However, it takes more than moral support to put out a newspaper weekly. The current staff of editors has been working at the same job for at least a year, and in the case of some personnal, more...

To The Editor Dear Editor; It was only recently that the Behrend Ecology Group began taking on projects. We have many expectations as to what we can do. Our present endeavors include a future proposal to recycle campus wastes, aiding in an Erie recylcing system; teaching in Erie's public schools; research into laws and corporations for future use in identifying polluters, and many other related projects. We have also recently put a conglomerate of information materials in the library and will add to the collection as we receive materials. The world is pretty messed up now and the earth is our only refuge, we must protect it. If anyone is interested in helping our cause in any way, please contact me anytime, at 132 Lawrence Hall, 899-1404. Thanks, Mark Bodyeombe

Your Father's Mustache" Performs in 20's Style Murder, mayhem and morals (loose ) were trade marks of the 20' s. What did the good old days have that we don't have today? Your Father's Mustache pondered this question. Their answer was simple; entertainment for entertainment's sake. The audience must be involved, a rapport must be developed, and the individuals must participate as a whole. The group (composed of two banjos, tuba, trombone and a female singer-dancer) uses any and all means of reaching their goals. Signs are held up telling the audience to "Sing", "Clap", "Cheer and Applaud", and in some cases "Boo and Hiss". They believe that the audience's inhibitions must be broken down--the use of comedy is their answer : from slapstick prat falls to more subtle and sophisticated humor. This is all done while performing with a musical proficiency that is recognized by all. Henry Mancini saw them on the Ed Sullivan Show and had United Artist sign them to record his sons "The...

Julio Di Marco Named Athlete of The Week by Dave Ruef Sports Writer The little fireball of the Behrend wrestling squad Julio DiMarco has been chosen as this week's "Athlete of the " Week". Julio was the only winner in last week's match against a powerful Cuyahoga Metro team which demolished Behrend 42-3. The freshman flash has demolished all but one opponent this season as he owns a 9-1 dual meet record. His only loss came at the hands of Cuyahoga West' s Ben Camargo. The highly touted Camargo defeated Julio 4-1. DiMarco has pinned four of his ten opponents and earned a total of 39 points for Behrend this season. Coach Ed Onorato spoke very highly of Julio. "DiMarco is one of the quickest boys I have ever coached. He is very quick to learn and is a real hard worker. I will count on him highly in the upcoming Commonwealth Caaipus and Region XIX Tourney's. Julio is rated in the top five ir the Hegionals for his outstanding record.
