Loyalty and it * _Opposites. : The North American utters a solemn trutb, when it declares that a patriot adheres to his country under; evety_^ ad Veree circumstance, as well as in the day of her prosperity. _Whether the rulers be oi one political patty orthevOther ,iflawfaIly elected, he yields a cheerful _Buppbrt to all legal _requirements. Even when a _combination of southern slaveholders with northern politicians controlled the- (_Government, and did many things exclusively for the interest of Blaveiy, the patriot submitted with no' . thought or _threa t of resistance or insurrection, for he saw no other course to avoid confusion and anarchy. Tbe Issue M«de at Lait, betvreeft the Soldiers and Uie Copperheads., We have at length an open issue with the coppeihead Democracy. That issue has been made by the soldiers,. and it was reserved for the heroes of two adjoining and two of the mightest counties ' in the Commonwealth to make this issue with these desperate men. The soldiers of Democratic _Beika county refused.to accept a welcome tendered them by a corporate city, wfcoee authorities attempted to thrust forward, on the attention of the people, such men as Glancy Jones and Ancona. The soldiers of Republican Lancaster county declined a reception at the hands of the municipal authorities of Lancaster city, because the ceremony involved theneceesity of coming in contact with a _copperhead M»yor, who has been one of the active agen's of the sympathizers with _treason ever since the war for slavery was _inaugurated. What better evidence need we have than these simultaneous refusals , by the men of two bounties, oHhe estima...
