[From the Rioorb-Usios's Special Correspondent.] Chicago, June 7, 1880. The National Convention of republicans now in session is the one topic, conversa tion, discussion and criticism among the high anil low, rich and poor, irrespective of sex. The telegraphic reports undoubt edly have anticipated all that I could tell you about tho Convention and the ten thousand people that regularly attend each session. Colonel John Roberts, of Chicago, who was the temporary Secretary of the Con vention and afterwards one of the perma nent Secretaries, was formerly a resident of Suisun, Solano county.
