THE 1910 Ever on the alert to supply the public with the type of car it de mands, R. E. Olds, President of the Reo Motor Car Company, seems to have again struck the popular vein in motoring, as indicated by the de tails given out recently of the new four cylinder Reo touring car which the big Lansing concern will market next year. While combining the very best foreign and domestic practice, the new car will be strictly American in general design and construction, even going so far as to have the steering wheel on the left-hand side, a practice that is coming into gene ral use. The motor will be a four cylinder vertical with the cylinders cast in pairs. The bore is 4 inches with a stroke 4i inches, while the horse-power rating is 30-35. The long stroke is a feature that has been coming to the front for the past year. A detailed description of the new car is certain to be of interest not only to the public gen erally, but to the trade, which has long waited for the announcement of the...

Local People Should Get Busy The crying need of grain elevator service in Glendive has been clearly seen for the past few weeks. If local people expect to invest capital in the enterprise, it is high time to get busy, or outside people will "pick the persimmons," several of them having very recently been in our city looking over the situation. We contend that all accruing profits from the business should stay right here at home. The formation of a stock company of local people would be a very easy matter. Wibaux has already organ ized such a company and Glendive can well take pattern after our little sister city. The elevator busi ness, well conducted, is one that brings large returns on the ...
