Battle Is Over. BRIDGE PLANS DECIDED UPON Long Controversy Comes to End and Harmony Prevails. [Newspaper Article] — Eagle Rock Sentinel — 20 August 1910
Battle Is Over. BRIDGE PLANS DECIDED UPON Long Controversy Comes to End and Harmony Prevails. So far as tin- kind of bridge and its location is concerned, the Arroya Seco bridge controversy is settled. The agreement was reached late Wednesday afternoon after a long argument between the Pasadena city council and the Hoard of Trade bridge committee. AMERICAN BOY SCOUTS COMING TO EAGLE ROCK [Newspaper Article] — Eagle Rock Sentinel — 20 August 1910
AMERICAN BOY SCOUTS COMING TO EAGLE ROCK Eagle Rock Valley is to be invaded by an army of American Hoy Scouts. Young lads in khaki, with knapsack over their shoulders and canline danglinig from their belts, will take the dales and slumbering foothills of Ragle Rock by storm and turn the fields into a vast camp of martini activity. And Eagle Rock will gladly surrender to the American Hoy Scouts In fact several of the large land owners have proposed to give the boys the free use of their domains for camping and resting purposes. Smiles will be their weapons, and good behavior the guarantee for a permanent armistice. It will be the first outing of the American Hoy Scouts of Southern California. The foothills of Eagle I Rock were selected for the lirst rally of the boys because ol the ideal conditions for scouting g...
