Vessels Advertised. ONLY THROUGH LINE TO NEW YORK, via Chagres. — The Pacific Mail Steamship Company's steamer PANAMA, D. G. Bailey, Esquire, Commander. will be dispatched for Panama, touching at the usual places, on Friday, February 1st at noon. Treasure for shipment received at the company's office on Wednesday January and until noon of the 31st instant. This steamer will connect with the U. S. Mail Steamer "Cherokee" 1350 tons burthen, which vessel will leave Chagres immediately after the passengers and treasures per Panama have reached that place. Passage can be secured on application at the Pacific Mail Steamship Company's Office. Vessels Advertised. NEW LINE OF STEAMERS FOR PANAMA.—The splendid Steamship SARAH SANDS, 1500 tons burthen, W. C. Thompson, commander, will leave for Panama, touching at Monterey, San Diego, Mazatlan, and Acapulco, on or about the 13th of April next. This ship is unsurpassed in her cabins for convenience and comfort, and every arrangement has been made on the most liberal scale. The steerage has been fitted with regard to the comfort of passengers. A separate, table will also be spread for them. Th. Trip to Benicia. The fine steamship Panama, Capt. Bailey, performed a trip to Benicia on Wednesday last, returning yesterday at about two o'clock. Time consumed in going, three hours and nine minutes. This is the second visit by vessels of the Pacific Steamship Company's line to the above thriving town, and it has been as highly successful as the first, which, it will be recollected by those of our citizens who enjoyed the delightful excursion, was accomplished by the pioneer steamer, California, Captain Forbes, in April last. The trip of the Panama was purely for the attainment of some immediate benefit to the machinery of the noble vessel. Two or three of our fair townswomen, escorted by a small party of hastily-assembled gentlemen friends, constituted the guests of the occasion. The morning exhibited a marked improvement on the weather of the preceding few days, and the Panama left her moorings, fired a gun when off the town, and gaily glided over the slumbering surfuce of our ba...
