KALGOORLIE MINER PUBLISHED DAILY. FRIDAY, NOV. 1, 1895. [Newspaper Article] — Kalgoorlie Miner — 1 November 1895

KALGOORLIE MINER PUBLISHED DAILY. FRIDAY, NOV. 1, 1S95. -TiiE'niost ominous feature of the so called separation movement is the per sistent manner in which the exponents oFthis doctrine harp on 'the subject of 'Private Enterprise.' The latest is the green young man from London, Mr Price, who called Mr C. Jobson ' My man,' and briskly told him- to ' Hurry up with the luggage.' He. has been interviewed by one ,of the new papers which have sprung up in Perth, and after abusing the Government in reference to matters of which he was palbably ignorant, -began to expatiate, on the' beauties of private enterprise. To him it war a shameful thing that the Legis lative Council should have thrown out a measure granting thft sole right to a visitor, of whom little is known, to supply the immense fields with water. No guarantee of any kind was offered that any atte.npt would be made to carry «ut this enormous work, nor was it even shown that the scheme proposed was feasible. The only thing before...
