THE CASTLEREAGH - ELECTORATE Mr. J.' A. Clarke Labor Candidate Advice was received from the A.L.P. Executive, Sydney, on Mon day, that-Mr. J. N. Smithers, who was nominated as <>ne of r:he candi dates for tine Labor selection for the Castlereagh electorate, did not have a continuity of membership for three years, and was ineligible^ Mr. J. A. Clarke, therefore, bo ing the only candidate whose nom ; ina'f.on was in order, has been en dorsed by the Executive as the 'Labor candidate for the electorate, 'a'ballot not being necessary.
