AS WE GO TO PRESS. [Newspaper Article] — The Prahran Telegraph — 27 February 1889

AS WE GO TO PRESS. Dr. Leger Erson has lodged a complaint with the central board of health and local board of health, regarding the con douct of Dr. Fetherston, health officer, in refusing admission to one of the former gentleman't patients, suffering from typhoid fever, to the Alfred Hospital, on the ground that Dr. Erson's diagnosis was erroneous, and that there were no signs of typhoid. The patient was, in consequence, Ilumbteuggecd about to the detriment of her health, whichl ultimately resulted in her odeath. Dr. Erson was certified to as right in his opinion that the woman in question had typhoid by the medical ofllcers at the hospital and other local pmcetitioners, and Dr. Fetherston was proved entirely wrong. The latter's coniluct in the case generally was adversely commented upon by Dr. Erson. At the meeting of the Plrhmn local bhoard of hIealthl, of Monday even ing, the Mayor said there were voltminous documents submitted to the board by Dr. Leger Erson. These documents we...
