Sport and Pastime. CRICKET CHATTER. [Newspaper Article] — Chronicle and North Coast Advertiser — 23 October 1903

§port mtfc* ^rtstitne. CRICKET CHATTER. (BV LONGSTOP.' To-morrow the Namfcour and Waratah clubs try con clusions on the former's wicket. A considerable amount of ' chaiF' has been indulged in of late by the members of both these clubs; so that an enjovable game should result. Play will start at 2*30 p.m. The Yandina folk have formed a club, and will, after a few weeks practice, be looking for scalps. They have un earthed, I believe, some new blood, tin the person of one Thompson, who is doing yeo man service as coach. Yandina should come into the associa tion at once, or their matches will have ' to be fewer than otherwise would be the case. Caboolture, B'ii Bli, and Payn ter's Creek also come under this category if they decide to remain aloof. Hurrah ! An association has been successfully formed by the various clubs, and a pros perous season seems assured. Officers have been elected, and all preliminary work done, and all that the committee is now waiting for is to give other clubs...
